PREVENTION OF PERIODONTAL DISEASE
Gum disease is a result of plaque and calculus build-up. Thanks to advanced technology, Dr. Chrispens and Dr. Bato can identify almost 20 different strains of bacteria that cause periodontitis. Current studies suggest that periodontal disease and infection may be transmittable, placing members of your family at risk. We don’t want you to stop kissing your loved ones. We just want you to learn what you can do to reduce the likelihood of spreading the bacteria that causes gum disease.
Visiting a periodontist for early detection and treatment is very important. Before you give up kissing you loved ones…schedule a complimentary screening for members of your family. At the screening, Dr. Chrispens or Dr. Bato will check to see if periodontal disease is present. If a comprehensive exam is needed, we will be happy to reserve an appointment.
